Types of Custom Size Door Mats

The are a number of different types of custom sized doormats available. All have a rubber backing and the pile is either made from cotton or nylon.

Cotton custom sized mats are usually used for domestic premises and offer superior absorbtion meaning that they will remove more moisture from shoes as well as trapping dirt and grit.

Nylon or Polyamide custom mats are generally harder wearing making them equally suitable for commercial and domestic premises where a higher foot fall is expected. These are extremely effective at removing mud and trapping dirt and grit as well as removing moisture from foot traffic. Nylon pile custom sized mats are heavy duty and suitable for use in the busiest of premises.

Most custom size mats can be machine washed making them easy to care for and maintaining a smart appearance in your entrance areas.

Both cotton and nylon custom sized mats are available with or without a rubber edging. Rubber edging is effective at preventing trip accident making them the most popular in commercial environments, however some people prefer the aesthetics of a borderless mat especially in a domestic environment.
